The Thin Line Between Body Building Enthusiasts and Homosexuals

Obviously, we at TwoScoopsGetHuge.com are muscle enthusiasts. We appreciate the pump, and patheticize upon the pipsqueak. It was this passion for body sculpting that has brought about an astute observation. There is a very thin line between body building enthusiast, and homosexual. For example, if you walk down the magazine isle, you might come across this:

FLEX Magazine

Ok. I see you Flex magazine. Excuse me, FLEX magazine. That is a pretty shirtless dude, but he is badass. Right on the cover, it says “The Future of Bodybuilding.” You know what the fuck is up. The dude looks badass, and if you are seen reading this, people are gonna think: “damn. I bet that dude is badass too. Or is at least interested in being badass.” I would not be embarrassed to read this magazine. Shit i’ll put that cover up on my wall. But head further down the magazine isle and you might stumble upon Men’s Workout Magazine…

Men’s Workout Magazine

“Men’s Workout Magazine,” you think, “well I am a man, interested in working out - i’ll give it a look. Whoops. If the cover hasn’t tipped you off already, you might want to get your gaydar checked. I’ll admit, I learned the hard way, flipping through a magazine like this thinking, “this is awfully homoerotic. WAY more so than usual.” Then I get to the male escort ads in the back and it hits me… I just thumbed through a subtly disguised version of Maxim for gay men. Just gratuitous amounts of bulge. “Never again!” I thought. NEVER AGAIN! Until yesterday.

When we made a post about Thomas Jones’ Biceps (notice how I capitalized ‘Biceps’), entitled Legit Biceps = Legit Babes, somebody hit me up on twitter and said, “check out this Legit Bicep Display: http://malerush.blogspot.com/2010/09/biceps-display.html.“ I didn’t have to wait for the page to fully load before I knew I was about to get hit in the face with a pound and a half of package. Goddamn it. And after a thorough investigation of the site, I mean I looked at each every one of the 4000 posts on that site, I have decided to delete it from my browsing history entirely. There is a fine line between Body Building Enthusiast, and homosexual - and you done crossed that mo-fuckin’ line. Don’t do that again. Don’t. Take one more look at Thomas Jones. That is a bicep. That homoerotic horseshit you sent me is not a bicep… it is gay porn.

So be careful out there. Read your literature (especially this site). Don’t be afraid to admire your role models, just make sure your role models aren’t gay male models.
